Implementation of GIS Solution for Municipalities of Thames Centre and Strathroy Caradoc (2007-2010)

2007 - 2010

Client: Municipalities of Thames Centre and Strathroy Caradoc

In summer 2007, the CGC successfully responded to an RFP from the municipalities of Thames Centre and Strathroy Caradoc to implement a shared GIS solution for the two communities. The GIS solution was to support infrastructure management, PSAB 3150 requirements, water and wastewater modeling and links to a work manager system. The project involved conducting workshops to customize the Sault Ste. Marie water, wastewater and transportation GIS data models to meet the specific needs of Thames Centre and Strathroy Caradoc. The customized models were implemented and deployed in an ArcView and arcReader environment. The project also involved user training, user support, selective data capture and the creation of custom programming to create data extracts to support water and wastewater modeling to support a water and wastewater strategic plan.
