Algoma University was interested in mapping aspects of their student inquiry to registration process to be used to enhance their promotional marketing strategy. The project entailed analyzing where in Sault Ste. Marie and Canada students were inquiring about Algoma University, what the prospective basis (high school, college/university transfer, college/university graduate, or mature/international/homeschooled student) was of the interested individual, what programs they were interested in, the time gap between inquiry and registering, and whether they registered as a full-time or part-time student. Maps were created for the 2004/05, 2005/06, 2006/07 and the 2007/08 school years for each of the aspects over each of the geographic areas (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Eastern Canada, and Western Canada).
